Not really such a decoy

Decoy wines are gaining quite a lot of popularity, but we have to wonder, how exactly are they a decoy? These premium wines have amazing taste and aroma, so perhaps it’s the lovely, yet simple design of the bottle itself that is the decoy in reference. Decoy wines has a history of learning and innovation Coming from Duckhorn Wine Company, the first red wine of Decoy was released over two decades ago, leading to a long run of excellence and a few learning curves as well. Like any good winemaker will say, the experience of creating great wine is one […]

Is craft brewing a dying fad?

Is craft brewing a dying fad?

It seems that there are those in the craft brewing industry who are under the impression that craft brewing is declining and that the market will be failing soon. Goose Island founder, John Hall, recently stated that he disagrees with this belief in an interview with Business Insider. He states that the craft brewing industry is in no way facing trouble and that each brewer simply has choices to make going forward. They can either choose to partner with big brewers like AB-Inbev, or they can remain small. Others in the industry, such as Jim Koch from Boston Beer, believe […]

Inglenook Vineyards: Making Rutherford proud

Starting in 1879, this lovely estate has a long history of great wines behind it. Founded by the Finnish sea captain, Gustave Niebaum, the estate has grown over the centuries into the beautiful and bountiful facility he envisioned even then. Currently owned by Francis and Eleanor Coppola, the estate, which had at one point been provisioned off into sections, has been completely restored and the wines coming from this palatial location are absolutely stunning. Did you say Francis Coppola? Yes, we most certainly did. He and his wife purchased part of the property in the 1970’s and fell in love […]
