The craft brewing industry is growing larger every year. This is a fact that has recently been denied by some folks, but numbers simply do not lie. More new craft breweries are opening up every year and, as a result, we have more brews to choose from in our journey through the world of craft beer. This is great, as we all love craft beer. If we didn’t, we wouldn’t be checking out those breweries, nor would we be keeping up with these posts! We’ve put together a listing of some of the really great brews we’ve come across throughout our journey and we hope you get the chance to try them, f you haven’t already.
Black Jack Porter – This brew has an outstanding aroma and flavor, as well as a texture that is simply divine. The well-balanced malt bill presented in the brew has notes of coffee, chocolate, some earthy wheat, and of course, a bit of hops profile to pull it all together without overpowering the malty deliciousness of the brew.
Founders Brewing Company’s Backwoods Bastard – This brew is likely our favorite where barrel-aged brews are concerned. Although it does feature an impressive ABV of 11.1%, it is highly drinkable and has a lovely bourbon burn that will make you want another bottle once you’ve finished your glass. This is a brew to share with friends while discussing the many different craft brews you’ve all tried on your own journey.
Two Of Tarts from Upland Brewing – If you happen to have adverse reactions to hops (there are those who do and we feel for them, seriously) then you really need to try this Gose from Upland Brewing. A Gose brew is made for those who cannot handle the hoppy goodness of most brews, but still want to be able to enjoy a great craft beer from time to time. The Gose style of brew steps in to fill the void and bring more folks to the taproom while ensuring they have a great tasting brew to enjoy during their visit.
Helios – This pale ale is perfection in a bottle. From aroma to flavor to finish, you’ll find it hard to knock this brew. The pour is lovely and the aroma has a depth that will keep you in thrall for quite some time while you sort out each note you find within. The brew itself is refreshing which will lead to you ordering another once you’ve finished the glass, which is precisely what you want in a craft beer.
If you have tried any of the brews we have listed here, or you find the time to do so, make sure to come back and let us know what you thought of them. We love hearing from our readers and seeing how the brews we enjoy rate with you, so drop us a comment and let us know. Until then, from all of us here at West Palm Beach Brewery and Wine Vault in South Florida, happy tasting!
