Napa Valley is home to some of the most beautiful vineyards and wineries in the country and this is definitely true of Peju Province Winery as well. The certified organic winery in Napa Valley is an asset to the valley and has a history steeped in hard work, traditional values, and outstanding premium wines. In June of 1981, Tony Peju commissioned designer Calvin Straub to complete an image of a winery based on his vision. From there, the story unfolded over time, eventually resulting in the amazing estate as it sits today, covering over 400 acres of interesting and lovely landscape.
As stated, Peju Province Winery is certified organic, which means no pesticides, herbicides, or chemical fertilizers are used in their operation. In addition to this wonderful practice, they’ve turned to green energy as well, with a large number of solar panels helping to power their production on the lavish estate.
We tip our hats to them for these efforts, as we fully understand the need for green energy and organic farming in order to improve the conditions for our future generations. Sustainable farming practices are important to us and our communities and Peju Province Winery in Napa Valley is a shining example of community concern! Their efforts to reduce their carbon footprint on the Earth is commendable!
In addition to being leaders in the organic arena, Peju produces some of the most delightful premium wines on the market, including their 2015 Chardonnay, 2013 Cabernet Franc, and their absolutely lovely 2012 Piccolo. We certainly recommend a visit, and while you’re there you really should check out the H.B. Gardens, named after Herta Peju whose loving care really keeps those gardens glorious. We wish we could have taken a bit more time walking through and listening to the amazing history of the place. Alas, we will have to take a second trip to make sure we haven’t missed anything! Or perhaps a third, because that tasting was outstanding!
We hope you take some time to visit this place because any wine connoisseur will find it to be a place of both whimsy and excellence. They are certainly a top winery in Napa Valley with some premier wines that you will certainly want to add to your rack! We’re always proud to feature premium wine producers like the Peju family, who’ve taken wine production to the next level with their future-centric practices.
