Scoggins Wines has delicious Pinot Noir!

Our Journey

When we went searching for a really outstanding Pinot Noir we were directed to the Russian River Valley where Scoggins Wines is located.  From what we were told, Scoggins Wines was THE place to go for great Pinot Noir and after we paid them a visit, we had to agree!  It seems that they are sourcing their fruit very specifically through special agreements with area vineyards and have access to blocks that were previously unattainable.  We were highly impressed with their wine and we thought it would be a great idea to let you, our readers, know about them and their delicious premium wines.

However, it’s not only the Pinot Noir of Scoggins Wines that caught our attention.  Although, yes, the fact that they aged their Reserve two extra years does make it even more scrumptious, there are other wines on their list that gained our interest just as much.  For example, if you get a chance, you really should check out their 2013 Cypress Ridge Zinfandel.  We were fortunate enough to procure a bottle of this lovely vintage and were highly impressed with the quality.

Scoggins has a history with both food and wine, having found his love for them as a young boy and growing that love into a craft that he excels at.  Both Scoggins Wine and the nearby Sonoma Aperitif came to an agreement and share the historic Denman Brewery, an agreement that has provided both the chance to get their start in the winemaking industry in California.  We’re certainly glad they were able to create this arrangement, as it means we have the chance to taste some truly outstanding wines.

Currently, Scoggins Wines produce Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, and a very lovely Rose for the warmer seasons that we’ve been told is a treasure to taste.  We look forward to visiting Scoggins Wines later on this year, as we’ve been making plenty of trips to California wine country while making special arrangements with another great wine cellar that will affect our wine list here at West Palm Beach Brewery and Wine Vault.  Perhaps you’ll see a Scoggins premium wine in our guest wine list at some point in the future!  If not, you’ll simply have to make the trek to California and try them yourself.

Have you tried any Scoggins Wines yet?  If so, leave us a comment and let us know what you thought about it.  We love to hear from our readers and we look forward to your comments.  In the meantime, cheers from all of us here in West Palm Beach, Florida.
