8 Great Things This Brewery Has Besides Beer !

What more would you want at a craft brewery than delicious, craft beer made on the premises with honesty, sincerity, passion and artisan work ethic?  Well….. just consider how the West Palm Beach Brewery, at 332 Evernia Street, offers its customers a craft brewing experience that you won’t find anywhere else. When the owner started designing and planning it, he knew that he wanted to do a few things that other breweries have NOT done in Palm Beach County, like have premium fine wine and a restaurant.  He did not want to do food trucks, and wanted to offer made to order, great tasting food prepared in an open kitchen, even if it had a limited menu.  In the short time that this has been open since late December, 2017, here are 8 Great Things which patrons and craft beer customers visiting Palm Beach think are really incredible about this downtown brewery that is close to the Palm Beach Convention Center, http://www.pbconventioncenter.com/Breakers Hotel and the Palm Beach Airport  https://www.thebreakers.com/PBI  http://www.pbia.org/ .  Oh… and to find out more about great stuff to do in Palm Beach, check out this link at Discover the Palm Beaches  https://www.thepalmbeaches.com/

  1. Food !  This brewery has it’s own restauranthttps://www.westpalmbeer.com/our-food/    And it’s good !  No food trucks here, only made to order, great tasting food from the Intracoastal Kitchen. They put in a hand made, $20,000 wood fire oven made in Sonoma, wine country, California which gives those never-ever-fried wings a great crispy char, and which can fire roast vegetables and which makes amazing old Italy brick oven pizza. 5 Star Michelin rated restaurant?  No.  Really good food, fresh, local ingredients and great beer bite? Indeed!  Yes, this brewery has food !!!!  Read what others are saying about this restaurant on Google and Yelp and Trip Advisor.
  2. Premium wine!  This brewery has wine.  Like…seriously…..really GOOD wine.  I mean, premium, limited production wine selected from very specific AVAs and with grapes purchased from the best vineyards, and select blocks and rows. How specific and serious?  Like monster Cabs from Howell Mountain and Rutherford, great big Napa reds, elegant Pinot Noirs from Sonoma, Sonoma Coast and the Sta Rita Hills, an amazing Rose from the 2017 vintage and of course delicious whites including Chardonnay from Sonoma (Carneros) and the Sta. Rita Hills. They really know their stuff and this is serious wine at The Vault,   https://www.westpalmbeer.com/our-wines/at 20-50% off of what you would pay in a tasting room in Napa. You see, the owner was first and foremost a wine enthusiast, collector and consumer before he got into craft beer.  He actually has a personal collection in his cellar of over 5,000 bottles of wine.
  3. Outdoor seating. There are tables, table service, chairs and lots of fresh air and Florida nights under the stars. Yup, we know that customers LOVE to be outside even in the summer in Florida, because we get such a great breeze, and the condos and apartments around the building block the sun.
  4. Shade.  Yes, the outside seating has umbrellas, shade and awnings.  They are even thinking of installing misters, so look for those to be added to the outside seating area.
  5. Free bibs for beer babies.  The brewery noticed an amazing thing a few months ago.  The owner was working and just happened to meet a patron: a woman, who happened to be a mom, at the tap room, with an infant in her child pack sleeping restfully in the very front.  And mom was holding the Palm Beach PorterThis is cool, thought the owner.  This mother was meeting her husband there, at the brewery, and their child was there, as well.   Hey, moms need craft beer, too and they get it at the West Palm Brewery. And they’ve noticed that the brewery, being family friendly, really helps.  Lots of families, young families with newborns and infants, visit the brewery and often hang outside.  Although the happy hour is a very big hit, Sundays at the brewery are really cool, and not just because they have live music.  Families and their young children can come out when parents are not going to the beach, and don’t want to go to a bar.  That’s where this downtown brewery fits in, I guess.  It’s a nice place that does NOT serve liquor, so, it’s not a bar. And, growing families will appreciate this: the prices are reasonable, fair + affordable with $6 craft beers and all food items under $19.  And, so, that’s why the brewery gives away free bibs to infants and babies who join their parents. They also give away free “onesies” and twosies. Just ask a member of the brew crew.
  6. Fee Dog Treats. Well behaved dogs are welcome outside and treated lovingly with free treats, biscuits, water, water bowls and free beer bandanas.  The General Manager has a beautiful retriever named Hunter and the owner’s girlfriend,Alexis, has three rescue dogs, Lucy, Gypsy and Cash. Yes, rescue dogs rule at this brewery !  In fact the brewery is working on an ale that is a tribute to Gotcha Day, when owners pick up their rescue dogs.  The beer is called Who Saved Who: Paw-licious Ale.  Watch for announcements on Facebook for a block party in The Year of the Dog!!  @wpbrewery
  7. Free Wine Tours. Attend a free wine tour every (almost !) Sunday at 2:00 p.m..  Receive free samples of the wine poured at The Vault which is the Napa Valley like tasting room and wine bar on the premises, and talk food, wine, travel and the good life with Wine Director Danielle Cesario or the owner, who shares with everyone (for free !) a bottle of rare or fine wine from his personal collection. Last week, he shared a 2000 Bordeaux with everyone who attended the free wine tour.
  8. VIP Private Tastings + Pairings.  Ask the Wine Director or GM about having a private, food and craft beer pairing or a wine dinner at a private table in the VIP room.  They offer wine and beer pairings with food in a private setting for you and your friends or business associates. Yes, this is the place to go for business meetings and networking with your colleagues and those you’d like to do business with !
