Chocolate Imperial Stout on Tap at West Palm Beach Brewery

Hey craft beer lovers, I know that many of you love a good IPA or lighter beer, like a blonde ale.  But what about you craft beer enthusiasts who crave a big, dark beer?  Well, Uber, http://www.Uber.com bike, or board on over to 332 Evernia Street, West Palm Beach, Florida 33401 for an amazing Chocolate Imperial Stout.  The West Palm Beach Brewery’s Chocolate Imperial Stout is a limited edition craft beer that was created for autumn.  Here’s what you need to know.

  • Chocolate Imperial Stout on Tap in Taproom.   The very first micro brewery in the downtown of West Palm Beach offers 20 craft beers on tap,  https://www.westpalmbeer.com/our-beers/   in their tap room, served at 37 degrees from tap to glass, thanks to its Glycol-chilled system.   Their Chocolate Imperial Stout is now on tap. But, it is a limited edition, reserve beer, which means when it is gone, it is gone.
  • No Distribution for this Micro Brewery.    The West Palm Beach Brewery does not distribute its beer.  “You won’t find our award winning craft beer in a bar or restaurant, nor in a bottle or can in Whole Foods or ABC Fine Wine & Spirits, nor Crown Liquors or Total Wine”   says owner John Pankauski, who launched this micro-brewery on Evernia Street in December of 2017.  “I just don’t have time to focus on distribution, kegging or bottling.  Maybe some day, but, right now, our focus at the brewery is to maintain and even build on our great customer experience.”
  • Craft Beer Experience at 332 Evernia.  And that, he’s doing.  But, just so you know, you CAN get a can of his great craft beer, which is available in crowler or growler format.  But…. Just read the Yelp  https://www.yelp.com/biz/west-palm-brewery-and-wine-vault-west-palm-beach?osq=brewery or Google or Facebook reviews for his amazing food in his brewery’s restaurant,  https://www.westpalmbeer.com/our-food/  located on premises.  His craft beer has gained a national reputation and national awards   in its very first year.  But, still, Pankauski wants to keep his brewery small.  “It’s flattering to have others ask to invest with you, or to consider selling a piece of the brewery, but that’s just not on my radar.  My focus is to remain small.”  But, Pankauski  flatly refuses to rule out a second location, and, when pressed, he’s mumm about where that may be. “Many guests and even investors who introduce themselves to me have asked about opening a second micro-brewery, but that’s just a flattering compliment” Pankauski says coyly.   Which makes people think he’s really got a second brewery on the board and in the mix–but won’t tell anyone.
  • Stouts on Tap. So, with autumn upon us–we turn back the clocks this Sunday, November 4, 2018– now is the time that food and drink lovers turn to a bit heavier, or hardier drink.  Wine lovers: you will love the 30 + bottle selections https://www.westpalmbeer.com/our-wines/  at the wine bar at the West Palm Beach Brewery, which is called The Vault, and which doubles as a #1 wine shop in Palm Beach.  This brewery wine store permits wine lovers to purchase cases of wine or bottles for home or the weekend block party.  That’s right, if you are not sipping a glass or bottle in Pankauski’s “living room” or sitting at his custom made wine bar, you can take his wine home.   Pankauski, who spends time in wine country constantly, just returned from Southern France in August and is off to Walla Walla, Washington to oversee the bottling of 800 cases of “big reds” which are being bottled exclusively for his Palm Beach wine market. Dubbed the “Florida Series”, these 5 wines will feature custom labels with a nod to Palm Beach County and Florida icons: manatees, flamingos, lighthouses, and palm trees.  Check out the big Napa Valley red wines, or a hearty Syrah from Drum Canyon Cellars, or, what Pankauski calls an “unapologetically Napa” Cabernet Sauvignon from his personally-selected AVAs of Rutherford, Stags Leap Wine District, Howell Mountain. OK, let’s get back to beer !  Craft beer lovers, you will enjoy the Chocolate Imperial Stout on tap as a limited release beer.  It is big, dark, frothy and delicious.  If you like Ten-Fidy from Oskar Blues https://www.oskarblues.com/beer/tenfidy/  or Shake,  https://boulderbeer.com/shake/  a chocolate porter from Boulder Beer, we think you will enjoy the West Palm Beach Brewery’s Imperial Chocolate Stout, called Fright Night, since it was released on Halloween, 2018.
