Founders of the season

Our Journey

At Founders Brewing Company they love to get a bit creative, especially when it comes to brews that fit the seasons.  For example, their barrel-aged delight, Backwoods Bastard, has gained a huge following and turned out to be the perfect brew for those long winter nights.  It really fit in with the image of sitting in a cabin in the cold of winter and enjoying a warm fire and conversation with some great friends.  However, the barrel-aged bite of a brew isn’t the only thing Founders is great at.  They can make some outstanding summer-style brews, too!

Check out a Founders brew this summer!

Founders has a great list of year-round brews for you to try, as well as some seasonal and specialty brews that you simply won’t want to miss.  If you get the chance, check out their barrel-aged brews too, because those things are blissfully good and some are even great for bottle aging!  In the meantime, here is a short list of some of our favorite brews from these dedicated brewers.

  • Doom – This outstanding brew is available throughout June, so be sure to grab some before it is put away for the year.  At 12.4% ABV, this barrel-aged beauty is definitely a brew for sipping and is perfect for those hot summer nights.
  • Rubaeus – We could not possibly leave out this delicious fruit beer.  Something about this raspberry ale really is refreshing.  And with an ABV of merely 5.7% and nearly no IBUs at all, it is the perfect brew for a hot summer day.  Plus, the artwork on the label is pretty awesome, too.
  • reDANKulous – Finally, for those who simply must have an IPA with plenty of IBUs and a great finish, this brew is a must-have for the season.  Although it is not available until July, that is only a few days away, so be sure to keep your eye out for this great craft beer!

Tell us about the great Founders brews you have found!

We really enjoy hearing from our readers.  The stories they tell us about their experiences keep us engaged in the craft brewing community while we work hard towards our own opening later this year.  With only a few months to go before West Palm Beach Brewery and Wine Vault open the doors to the public, we want to hear all of the stories and opinions we can!  After all, how will we know what you folks want to see on our taps if you don’t tell us?

In the meantime, happy tasting from all of us here at West Palm Beach Brewery and Wine Vault in the Warehouse District of West Palm Beach.
