Golden Stout on Tap at West Palm Beach Brewery

Uncategorized

Can you combine the alure of coffee in a lighter looking beer? Is that possible?  Check out the Golden Stout, starting Friday, August 3rd, 2018, it will be on tap at the West Palm Beach Brewery & Wine Vault, 332 Evernia Street, West Palm Beach, Florida 33401.

  • Inspired by Travel.    The Golden Stout craft beer was inspired by a trip the owner and chief brewer took to California earlier in 2018.  “I really believe that travel is necessary to see what others in the craft beer world are doing” said the owner of the West Palm Beach Brewery.  “Chief Brewery Joel Kodner and I traveled to Santa Barbara for two reasons.  We visited with our wine maker, Ken Brownhttp://www.kenbrownwines.com/  to try barrel samples for our upcoming releases of premium wines from the Sta. Rita Hills.  We also toured area breweries within Santa Barbara, their Funk Zone,   https://santabarbaraca.com/explore-and-discover-santa-barbara/neighborhoods-towns/santa-barbara/the-funk-zone/    as well as breweries in nearby Goleta, Lompoc and tasting rooms throughout including Los Olivos.  We enjoy seeing how craft beer lovers react to new and exciting craft beers.”
  • Golden Stout: is that possible?  What is a Golden Stout craft beer?   Well, at the West Palm Beach Brewery, their Golden Stout is a full-bodied and sweeter Golden Ale.Now, to be clear, the brewery does NOT do all sweet or sweeter beers.  But occasionally, the brewery does touch up the beer a bit with a hint of sweetness.  And the national recognition, awards and positive feedback from the customers and craft beer lovers have been amazing !  You may remember the Dreamers Lager which won a Gold Medal        at the 2018 US Open Beer Championship.  That award winning, nationally recognized lager had a touch of agave.  You may recall a recent Gotcha Day at the Brewery which was a tribute to rescue dogs and dogs in general.  The brewery released the Who Rescued Who? Paw-licioius Ale which was a cream ale that people loved !!  They had a block party at the brewery for that cream ale, they literally shut down the street and block and let the dogs run through doggy pools and sprinklers.  (Look for a similar rescue dog day sometime in late 2018 or early 2019).  The Golden Stout is steeped in a blend of cacao nibs from Ghana and Ecuador & whole bean Mexican coffee from Oceana Coffee Roasters.https://www.downeastcoffee.com/reserve/
  • The Best of Both Worlds?    Aren’t coffee influenced craft beers dark?  The answer is Yes !  Typically.  Generally.  But, on their trip to California, the owner and chief brewer noticed that fans were enjoying a lighter colored beer, an ale, that had an expression of coffee.  “We need to do this back in the West Palm Beach Brewery!” they both said.  And so, that’s how they got here today with West Palm Beach Brewery’s Golden Stout.
  • All Natural.  The West Palm Beach brewery only uses natural ingredients in its Golden Stout and all its beers, which it makes right there at its state of the art production facility and tap room on the premises.  This micro-brewery in downtown West Palm Beach has indoor, fully air conditioned seating for 170 persons.  They never, ever, use extracts or flavorings of flavor enhancers. All natural only.   They don’t distribute so they don’t have to churn out a huge amount of beer for bottles or cans or kegs.
  • 20 Craft Beers on Tap.   At the West Palm Beach Brewery & Wine Vault, they offer 20 craft beers on tap in their tap room and brewery restaurant.  Yes, this brewery has a restaurant!  https://www.westpalmbeer.com/our-food/  And you can eat at the open kitchen, by the fires of the hand-made, wood burning oven.  You can also enjoy dinner and a gold Golden Stout at their wine bar.   Yes, this brewery has great wine!  This brewery offers over 20 limited production, vineyard-direct, premium wines that you simply won’t find anywhere else, but in their Napa Valley like tasting room + wine store.  https://www.westpalmbeer.com/our-wines/ The wine they offer is made from specific vineyards, rows &  blocks and is made in very small production, like 25-300 cases.  There is shaded seating and table service outside and well-behaved pets are treated lovingly outside with water bowls and free treats. Yes, this brewery is pet friendly and seating is abundant outside. So, if you want a break from a great hotel like the Breakers  https://www.thebreakers.com/or are in town for a convention  http://www.pbconventioncenter.com/  or conference, please reach out to the Brewery and try their Golden Stout ale or any other of the 19 craft beer selections on tap or their wines.
