WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA — The West Palm Beach Brewery & Wine Vault announces its first ever Home Brew Competition to be held on site at their brewery located at 332 Evernia Street, West Palm Beach, Florida 33401 Saturday, September 22, 2018.

We brought the billion dollar craft beer industry to the downtown, and now we are going to bring beer from Florida kitchens and garages to Evernia Street” said owner John Pankauski.   “At the West Palm Beach Brewery, we are all about artisan and craft work, and creating a fun, even exciting, craft beer experienceThis home brew competition is a great part of our work to reach out and involve our customers, fans and craft beer enthusiasts.”

The Brewery’s desire to connect with craft beer lovers and create an “experience” is well known.   The management team at the brewery constantly thinks outside the tank to connect with beer consumers.   The brewery has tap parties which give away limited production t-shirts, it sponsored a Rescue Dog Block Party on July 21 that packed Evernia Street, and is scheduling a Polish Craft Beer + Polka Day block party for August with none other than The Polka King himself, Jan Levan, who was portrayed by Jack Black in the NetFlix film The Polka King, who will appear, sign autographs, take pictures and perform outside on stage.

This competition will recognize the diligence and artisan work that goes into creating a beer made from scratch “ said West Palm Beach Brewery’s Chief Brewer Joel Kodner  “we will proudly highlight the hard work and passion that so many of our friends and customers exhibit in their homes, making their own craft beer.

That Chief Brewer should know something about artisan work.  This home brew competition comes on the heels of national recognition and awards for this first-ever downtown brewery.  The West Palm Beach Brewery just won gold and bronze medals at the 2018 US Open Beer Championships for their Dreamers Lager and their Unfashionable Brown Ale.

The brewery is putting its money where its mouth is.  The top prize winner will receive $500 in “beer bucks” which can be spent at the brewery on beer, food, wine and merchandise, along with a chance to make their home brew with Chief Brewer Joel Kodner on the brewery’s 10 barrel system right there in the brewery’s production facility.  There are prizes for 2nd and 3rd place, as well.  Kodner will lead a panel of judges which will sample all entrants’ beers and then announce the winner Saturday, September 22 at the brewery.
