Hot spots in South Florida with great craft beer

Our Journey

When it comes to South Florida, there are plenty of venues that offer some truly great ways to cool down from the heat of the season.  However, it’s those locations with great craft beer that really get our blood flowing and give us the best way to beat the heat.  With Spring pounding in hard and heavy and heading straight into a hot summer, we thought it would be a great idea to draw your attention to some of the best craft breweries to check out this year and why those breweries are going to be the hottest places to be this year.

West Palm Beach Brewery and Wine Vault needs to be one your list for April!Hot weather means less clothing and higher blood pressure

Although our resident portaholic has a habit of rolling her eyes when we mention some of our favorite parts of summer (beaches, bunnies, put them together and what do you get?), it is an undeniable fact that the hot end of spring weather and perpetual summer of Florida brings out the masses to some of the best sight-seeing locales in the state.  The beaches.  However, once you get hot, you need a great way to cool off, so head over to a nearby craft brewery, because nothing will cut that heat better than a cold craft beer on tap.

Craft breweries like Tequesta Brewing Company in Tequesta, Florida offer some great organic brews to help cool you off after a day spent chasing waves.  While you’re there, check out their delicious Zest and Chill Session IPA.  A sessionable brew is perfect for hot days and will help to chill you out for another run at the beach or a nice walk around to see the sights.

Go south, young man!

Further down the Florida coast, you will find Due South Brewing Company, a craft brewery that has gained quite a lot of popularity in the area.  Industrial Porter is currently on tap, along with four more lower ABV brews that would make great options for a quick brew to cool off in the middle of the day.  If you’re done with the heat for the day, check out their Hopicana Orange Rye IPA, which features an ABV of 7.4% and a huge flavor profile that is out of this world.

While you’re checking out the many beaches of south Florida, make sure to wind your way to Funky Buddha in Boca Raton where you’ll have a hay day deciding which brew is the best in their arsenal.  We love the Buddha here at West Palm Beach Brewery and Wine Vault and cannot help but make the trip to their brewery as a break from our own construction efforts.

Finally, if you are going to be in Florida later this year towards the end of October, make sure to stop off here in West Palm Beach and pay us a visit.  We’ll be opening our doors to the public in October if all goes as planned and we would love to see you here!  Until then, get out of the heat, crack a refreshing craft beer, and enjoy the sights here in Florida!
