Leonetti Cellar, in Walla Walla, Washington, was the first vineyard in the town. With over 100 years of experience in the wine industry, this family of vintners has a wealth of information at their disposal that has allowed them to produce some of the most outstanding wines in the United States since their opening in 1977.
Located just on the outskirts of the city, this lovely vineyard is quite accessible, making a visit very simple whether you know the region or not. In addition, the near-perfect microclimate of their blocks has allowed them to enjoy great yields and high quality in the grapes they choose to make their wines. Speaking of those wines, they have gained outstanding reviews across the United States and are truly amazing premium vintages that you’d be proud to have at your next event.
While many vineyards are producing large case lots of their wines, Leonetti Cellar is seeing a demand that outweighs their bottling production. This is a point of pride, as it shows exactly how desired their wines truly are. Quite a feat for a vineyard outside the typical Napa Valley locale! However, Washington is certainly gaining ground in the wine industry, as more wineries and vineyards seem to pop up each decade, making this state a treasure trove of new and interesting wines to try.
Leonetti Cellar does not offer public wine tastings, unfortunately. In order to gain access to their tasting room, you will have to join their Wine Club and put yourself on the waiting list. However, do not let this deter you, as their wines are certainly worth the wait! With an absolutely delicious Cabernet Sauvignon on their list of offerings, you’re going to want to take a chance and try their wines.
