Most Popular Florida Brewery Keeps It Private, Does Not Distribute

Uncategorized

What makes a craft brewery  the most popular Florida brewery?   Hint: it’s a LOT more than high quality hops!  Here’s what you need to know about the West Palm Beach Brewery & Wine Vault, located at 332 Evernia Street, West Palm Beach, Florida 33401.

  • Keepin’ It Small + Private.  The downtown’s very first brewery gets an “A” for timing.  Or, at least a lucky, four leaf clover. Why?  “When I first started thinking about converting this old cross fit facility to a craft brewery, the city zoning did not even allow a brewery” says owner John Pankauski.  “I got lucky.  The city was actually working on new zoning laws just as I was thinking about a brewery.  They were amazingly helpful and provided a lot of support and guidance.”  Since the brewery opened in late December of 2017, Pankauski has been approached by distributors who want to bottle and can his beer, and investors who want in on his next brewery or wine bar.  “It’s very flattering to be approached by major distributors and even other breweries, but my plan is to keep the West Palm Beach Brewery small and private.”  For now, there are no plans to distribute his award winning beer, so you have to visit this micro-brewery’s tap room and production facility to taste the goods.   There are 32 ounce crowlers and 64 ounce Growlers to go, if you want to take some home. But here are reasons to visit the tap room and production facility, reasons which make this the most popular Florida brewery.
  • Food & Wine.  The West Palm Beach Brewery realized early on that it had to do more than make great tasting craft beer.  That was a given, right?  So, their architects and contractor added a wine bar, called The Vault, https://www.westpalmbeer.com/our-wines/which offers over 30 top notch wines from esteemed vineyards in Napa, Sonoma and the Santa Barbara region, like the Sta. Rita Hills.   They didn’t stop there.  A restaurant was added to the brewery plans, including a custom made (by hand ) wood fire oven and open bar.  The restaurant at the West Palm Beach Brewery is called The Intracoastal Kitchen where nothing is fried, https://www.westpalmbeer.com/our-food/ there are plenty of bar bites and upmarket veggies, healthy salads, and Florence-inspired pizza.   Check out the daily and weekly specials on the board by the kitchen.  You can sit outside where there is table service, or hang inside, where there is air conditioned seating for 170 persons, including high tops for larger parties, and a “living room” with sofas and chairs that seems to fill up first.
  • Variety + Experience.  A 20 tap system offers plenty of variety, and they typically serve one guest cider.  The West Palm Beach Brewery offers a healthy variety of IPAs, stouts, porters, ales and their Dreamers Lager,   which took 2 months to make, sold out fast and will be back.  The most popular Florida brewery knows that creating a fun, inviting and welcoming experience is key to attracting loyal fans who want to return.  The brewery hosts a number of events, from a Polka block party, to a local rocker’s CD release concert, a block party for rescue dogs, a home brew competitions and live music.  Oh yes, don’t forget all the college football and NFL football and MLB post season action in the fall.  This brewery has 11 HD Smart TVs to watch all the action, including the NFL Sunday Ticket on DirecTV.
  • Tours and Parking.  Brewery tours are free on Saturdays and Sundays, and by appointment the rest of the week. You can even take in a free wine tour on Sundays, where you sip wine, talk travel, food and vineyards.    Ask the server about their Sauvignon Blanc Sunday specials and how you can reserve the VIP room for parties of 10 or more to host a private wine tasting or beer tasting. Parking is abundant in the fairly priced city garage across the street.  To reach the most popular Florida brewery, get downtown, about 5 blocks north of the Convention Center http://www.pbconventioncenter.com/  and City Placehttp://www.cityplace.com east of the new Brightline Train Stationhttp://www.GoBrightline.com and just 2 blocks west of the intracoastal.
