The Palm Beach wine store with hidden gems– it’s not where you think it would be

Uncategorized

Ever find something special that just blows you away?  Well, wine lovers, listen up. Do you like high quality grapes, premium wine made by a small, independently owned wine company?  Oh yes, the variety is strong and the prices are fair.  If so, then wine lovers need to get over to the wine bar  & wine retail store at 332 Evernia Street, home to “The Vault“.  What’s The Vault at the West Palm Beach Brewery?  The Vault is the Palm Beach wine store at the West Palm Beach Brewery & Wine Vault in downtown West Palm Beach.  Here’s why wine lovers are flocking to this Palm Beach wine store.

  • #1 Palm Beach wine store.  The wine offered at 332 Evernia Street, inside the West Palm Beach Brewery, can be purchased “to go” by the bottle or case.  “We have a retail license for wine and beer” says wine guru John Pankauski, the owner of the downtown’s first craft brewery, who purposely did not seek a liquor license.  “We don’t want to sell booze” says the wine lover who, perhaps ironically, enjoys a peaty, Islay Scotch in the evening.  “I never wanted to have a bar, nor sell shots or have folks come in for last call.  That’s now what we are” says Pankauski, explaining that his brewery and wine bar and tasting room are an upscale addition to the South Florida craft beer and wine scene.  “If you are looking for the same wine, the same mass produced wine that appears on every wine list and is in every aisle, I hate to disappoint you” continues Pankauski.  Well, then, what is the wine story behind the Napa Valley-like tasting room at the West Palm Beach Brewery?  “We are an approachable, down to earth destination, creating an exceptional experience.  We offer premium wine, craft beer made on the premises and limited, artisan food made in our wood fire oven. If you are looking for super quality wine produced with sincerity + passion by a small, independently owned wine company with a commitment to exceptional quality, then we are a great fit.”   Pankauski is the idea person behind bringing premium wine to Florida in an approachable and affordable way.  “One of our goals for 2019 is to increase wine sales by the bottle and case to go.  Many of our fans, who love our wine, still don’t think of taking bottles home.”
  • Quality, quality, quality.  So, can this Massachusetts native really bring premium wine and a Napa Valley experience to Palm Beach?  “If you enjoy the tasting room experience of visiting Napa Valley, and the chance to purchase small production, limited, high quality wine you could only get out in wine country, you will be at home at my wine bar and wine retail store  says Pankauski.  “I’m bringing Napa, Sonoma and Santa Barbara and Walla Walla to South Florida.  Now you don’t have to go 3,000 miles west to wine country to get the experience!”  If the rule in the real estate world is “location, location, location”, the same may be said of premium wine.  When it comes to location, Pankauski sources his wines and grapes from the country’s finest vineyards.  “Many of the wine which we offer in our Palm Beach wine store and Napa Valley like tasting room setting are from award winning vineyards.” He should know.  Pankauski was a wine person before he opened his brewery and he works very closely with some of the country’s most accomplished wine makers, winery owners and vineyard managers.  Ken Brown makes his wines in the Sta Rita Hills and Santa Barbara.  http://www.KenBrownwines.com “From my connections and friendships, I get premium and super-premium wine that you can’t find anywhere else.”
  • Great Variety.  Walk on up to the wine bar at the brewery and sit down, have a bite to eat and purchase a flight of the top notch wine offered on the premises and only here.  No distribution plans yet.  Want big Napa Cabernet Sauvignon? They have a lot of very limited production Cabs.  The Vault offers, or will offer, 8 Pinot Noirs, all from different AVAs.  The whites are great, and there are more in the pipeline like the un-released 2017 Napa Chardonnay and the highly expected 2018 Gruner Vetliner.
  • Great Wine at 20-50% Off Of Napa Prices.  Pankauski suggests that his wine at his Palm Beach wine store is sold at a fraction of what you would pay in a Napa tasting room on Highway 29 or on the Silverado Trail.  Super value, high quality and more than fair prices.  Look for this wine bar in this brewery to offer premium and even ultra-premium wines by the tap“I want to create a tap program for great wine” says Pankauski.
  • Independently Owned & Operated. This little Palm Beach wine store is independently owned and operated inside the brewery.  There is outdoor seating and indoor air conditioned seating. Oh yes, the 20 taps of craft beer are https://www.westpalmbeer.com/our-beers/   made on the premises and the food are both outstanding. https://www.westpalmbeer.com/our-food/   Check out the reviews on Yelp or Google or Facebook.  @wpbrewery   Expect this brewery and wine bar, Palm Beach wine store, to offer over 50 wines by the bottle.
