The growing season is high and the weather is affecting crops

The growing season is high and the weather is affecting crops

A question was recently raised as to whether the craft brewing industry may see a hit this year when it comes to purchasing necessary ingredients. With the weather making its usual Spring/Early Summer fuss of bi-polar proportions, this is a pretty serious question. So far, most commercial growers do not seem to have been hit too hard with the torrential downpours that this lion-style spring has presented. However, there are some areas that have seen some terrible flooding due to the wet weather of Spring, and yes, that really could affect those craft breweries who source their ingredients in those […]

Great Rhythm and Outstanding Beer

Great Rhythm and Outstanding Beer

Great Rhythm Brewing Company is located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, which is a bit of a trip from our own location in West Palm Beach, Florida, but we decided to make a trip to their facility and see what these outstanding brew masters were all about.  What we found was a craft brewery that really cares about the quality of every single brew they put out into the craft beer community and a lot of staff who really love their industry. We checked out the facility itself, and the tour was certainly worth it.  On the left, you can see […]

Founders Brewing Company: Great Brews, Great People, Great Values

Founders Brewing Company: Great Brews, Great People, Great Values

Founders Brewing Company is celebrating twenty years in the brewing industry and they’ve come a long way since their inception.  This outstanding craft brewery offers a great range of brews from year-round to barrel-aged and we’ve mentioned their amazing brews many times in the past.  However, we feel they really deserve a big Hats Off for their many accomplishments over the years, as twenty years in the brewing industry is pretty darn impressive.  Sure, several companies have lasted that long, but often they lose popularity over time as new craft breweries pop up every year.  Founders has held onto their […]

Late night craft beer tasting

Late night craft beer tasting

Craft beer tasting is one of the things that I have the epic privilege of doing as the writer for the blog.  However, I often ask the guys for their views on the different brews we feature because they have the most time to really assess each beer.  They do the traveling, the heavy work, and they’re currently involved with all the preparations for the opening coming up in April in West Palm Beach. They’re amazing people and I love the fact that I get to work with them.  They’ve drawn me into a world that I had never really been […]
