Text Message wine available at The Vault at West Palm Brewery

Uncategorized

Hold on to your hats, wine lovers in Palm Beach County!  You have to experience Text Message wine, a new red wine offered by Pankauski Cellars.  Text Message wine is absolutely thrilling.  It is luscious, deep, dark, and very tasty.  Text Message wine is only available for sale at 332 Evernia Street, where The Vault is.  The Vault is the wine store and Napa Valley like tasting room at the West Palm Beach Brewery in downtown West Palm Beach.  Here’s what you need to know about this wonderful red wine.

  • Text Message Wine:  “I wanted to create a deep, delicious, high quality red wine that was up to date, so to speak” says Pankauski Cellars owner John Pankauski.  “Text Message wine is hip, current and helps us communicate and bring us together” continues Pankauski.  That makes perfect sense for this Massachusetts native who now calls West Palm Beach, Florida home.  After all, Pankauski has always said that wine is the great unifier.  In fact, that message is on most of his wine labels, and is soon to adorn a renovated wine bar and retail wine store at 332 Evernia Street.  Now known as The Vault, the wine retail portion of his operations is being re-branded and is expected to be re-named “Pankauski Cellars Tasting Room.”  “I am also looking at tasting room locations and leases out in the Santa Barbara area, such as Buelton and Los Olivos” shares Pankauski.

  • Great Wine You Won’t Find Anywhere Else.  A Pankauski Cellars tasting room in Florida or Santa Barbara makes perfect sense.  Pankauski purchases about 20 tons of grapes from award winning vineyards in Santa Barbara including Thompson Vineyard, Vogelzang Vineyard and Rita’s Crown in Sta. Rita Hills.  He sources his Cabernet Sauvignon and other big reds from the finest in Napa Valley and Walla Walla, Washington.  “The finest Cabs and reds in Walla Walla compete with Napa. There is no doubt” says Pankauski.
  • 50 Wines.  His tasting room at 332 Evernia Street, which also features the production facility and brew pub of the West Palm Beach Brewery features 50 wines which Pankauski deems “premium and ultra-premium”.  “I carefully source my wines and grapes from select blocks and rows in America’s finest, top rated vineyards.” Pankauski knows good grapes. He works with Ken Brown, in Sta. Rita Hills and produces amazing Pinot Noir, Syrah, and Chardonnay.  Look for incredible Grenache and Mourvedre and a GSM blend over the next 8-16 months.
  • 95 Points Napa Cabernet Sauvignon.  What can wine club members expect in the future?  Pankauski also reveals that he has 6 barrels of top flight 2018 Napa Cab from St. Helena in barrels right now, resting gently for a 2019 or 2020 release.  “We are going to add a bit more new French oak” said Pankauski. “Right now, the majority of the Cab is in one year French oak but we are going to add new French oak to add to the complexity.”
  • Tasting Notes for Text Message Wine.  Medium-body and luscious and super bold. Sweet fruit enhanced by a solid oak core.  Elegant without being offensive or “in-your-face.” Rich fruit with an ever-so-slight touch of delicious menthol at the end. It is soft and velvet-smooth, weighty without being heavy. It is actually “light” in the mouth, “fluffy” (when’s the last time you heard a red wine described like that), solid mouthfeel and enjoyable on its own, although it would pair well with the Filet Mignon bites, Mama’s meatballs with homemade red sauce, or a homemade Calzone.
  • Small, Independent.  Pankauski Cellars is a small wine outfit, independently owned and operated.  Pankauski Cellars produces limited production (25-300 cases) of premium and ultra-premium wine from select blocks and rows in America’s most sought after, award winning vineyards. Available for sale at 332 Evernia Street, West Palm Beach, Floridda 33401.
