The West Palm Beach Brewery and Chief Brewer Joel Kodner did it again !!! The West Palm Beach Brewery & Wine Vault, 332 Evernia Street, West Palm Beach, has won another craft beer competition medal !! “I am so proud to be working with Joel Kodner “ said West Palm Beach Brewery owner John Pankauski. “Joel delivers consistently delicious craft beers and is being recognized by his peers on a national level.” The Wild Summer Nights won a Bronze Medal at the 2019 Honey Beer Competition http://honeybeercompetition.com/for the Wheat Beer Category.
The Honey Beer Competition is hosted by the National Honey Board. Its purpose is to recognize the best honey beers in the country. This craft beer competition took place in St. Louis, Missouri in August 2019. It was judged by 32 certified judges from the Beer Judge Certification Program. It featured 12 beer style categories and one cider category. The craft beers were judged on their aroma, appearance, flavor, mouthfeel and the role honey played in the beer.
“Joel first made “Wild Summer Nights” for a theme party we had at the brewery in 2018. We were celebrating the first day of summer“ says brewery owner Pankauski. It was so good, and so well received by Joel’s customers, that they made it the following summer. “Folks in Florida love Joel’s wheat beer” added Pankauski. This wheat beer is 5.3% ABV American wheat beer brewed with malted white wheat and local wildflower honey from McCoy’s Sunny South Apiaries in Loxahatchee, FL. https://mccoysfloridahoney.com/ “We are all about local” continues Pankauski. “Whether it’s locally sourced ingredients in our brewery restaurant, or berries from Plant City, Florida in our production facility. We use local, natural ingredients all the time.” And, Pankauski is quick to point out, the West Palm Beach Brewery does NOT use extracts, fillers or artificial ingredients.
