Where to eat on Clematis Street near the West Palm Beach Brewery & Wine Vault

Our Journey

Here at the West Palm Beach Brewery & Wine Vault http://westpalmbeer.com/, we like to eat.  OK…. so we like great wine and craft beer too. So….where do folks in the wine and craft beer industry go to eat in West Palm Beach?

We like  two spots on Clematis Street.  The first is Hullabaloo just west of the tracks in the 500 block, east of Rosemary on the north side of the road:  http://sub-culture.org/hullabaloo/

Hullabaloo is just north of the Brightline Train Station and across the street from Nicole Henry’s art gallery http://nicolehenryfineart.com/and the Canvas artist studio http://canvaswpb.org/.  Plenty of garage parking on the corner of Quadrile and Clematis.

Hullabaloo has a rotating craft beer lineup on tap, 6 total, and a respectable assortment of craft beer and wine by the bottle. Their food is delicious. Today, Dan G. had a pizza and salad.  $10.  Their calamari, roasted pork sandwich and burger are sellouts.  Nightly specials prepared fresh by Chef Fritz.  Brett is the bar manager, and being from Massachusetts, he is superb.

Head east down Clematis and cross South Olive and on the left, across from Rocco’s Taco’s is Alchemist, a gastropub, on the north side of the road. GREAT happy hour with half off most wine and beer and good small bites.  Friendly, informative staff behind the bar with great knowledge of small lot, micro brews.  They always have two rotating draft beers, often local.  They add constantly to their bottle list.  http://www.thealchemistgastropub.com/

“We support our local neighbors” said Dan Galasso.  “But one of our themes at the brewery and wine vault is we are a lot like a Napa tasting room.  Bring your food, picnic baskets, cheese plates and charcuterie.  Make yourself at home.  Just don’t bring wine or craft beer !”
