5 Things Which Make West Palm Brewery Different Than Other Florida Craft Breweries

Uncategorized

What makes the West Palm Beach Brewery different than other south Florida craft breweries?  Well, here is a list of 5 things which makes this brewery at 332 Evernia Street in downtown West Palm Beach unique.

  1. We  don’t distribute !   The West Palm Brewery is focused on creating craft beer made right here!  And doing it well.  Crafting safe, sanitary, delicious drafts on the premises and serving it at The Long Bar, its tap room, has been the focus since day 1.  While area distributors have approached the West Palm Brewery about distributing, the answer is always a polite “no thanks.”  We think the focus of creating a great experience while at the brewery is  key.  And others have even said that our refusal to distribute is admirable.  Not trying to do to much, too soon. Truth is: we just don’t have time to focus on distribution, and we don’t want to spend our time on the bottling line or filling dozens of kegs for beer distributors.  But, if you want to take some great beer home, or to go, created by Chief Brewer Joel Kodner, ask a server about 32 ounce crowlers and 64 ounce growlers.
  2. We have a restaurant.  No food trucks. That’s right, we have a wonderful restaurant inside called The Intracoastal Kitchen, where made-2-order is the order of the day.  https://www.westpalmbeer.com/our-food/We source local and artisan ingredients to bring to you fresh, great tasting food.  Now, admittedly, the food menu at the West Palm Brewery is limited.  But we feel we make up for the small menu with flavor and quality.  So, if you are looking for a downtown restaurant to grab a bite to eat, consider the West Palm Brewery, where you can get great food, craft beer made on the premises and premium California wine you won’t find anywhere else.  We have fresh arugula salads, roasted cauliflower and asparagus, a cheese + charcuterie plate, along with more typical “beer bites” like sliders, wings and amazing fire roasted pretzels.  Of course, our American-made-by-hand wood fire oven (made in Sonoma County, California) offers incredibly delicious wood fire gourmet pizzas.  So, if you are in town perhaps vacationing at The Breakers, https://www.thebreakers.com/or attending a conference at the Palm Beach County Convention Center, http://www.pbconventioncenter.com/the West Palm Brewery is close by, by foot, Uber, https://www.uber.com/ Lyft https://www.lyft.com/and bike.  (We have bike racks in front of the brewery).
  3. Made in the shade.   332 Evernia Street has lots of outdoor seating and shade!  Truth is, there is not a lot of sun beating down on the outside due to the tall buildings around the brewery.  But the sun does come out certain times of the day, and we have got you covered.  We open on Saturday and Sunday at 12:00 noon and we don’t open until 4:00 pm Monday-Friday.  So, not a lot of sun, but there is a huge awning and also umbrellas for each outdoor table.  If you don’t want to be inside our tap room, you can sit outside in the fresh Florida air, and enjoy the day, or a beautiful evening under the stars. You can also play Jenga, checkers, chess or corn hole.
  4. Amazing wine. Visit The Vault –home of Dad’s Blend Napa red wine–at the West Palm Brewery at 332 Evernia Street and you’ll find premium wine that you will not find anywhere else. The Vault is our retail wine shop and wine bar. Come on in, sit at The Vault and order dinner while you are watching TV or just hanging out.  Browse the stacks of wine and buy a case for the week or for your cellar.  You can take any wine  home by the bottle or by the case.  We think The Vault at the brewery is the best little secret wine shop near Palm Beach!    So, if you are not into craft beer, that’s OK.  We have amazing, big Cabernet Sauvignons from Napa, Stags Leap, Rutherford and Howell Mountain.  We have huge Napa reds from Oakville, and Coombsville.  If Pinot Noir is your wine of choice, we have a variety of 6 star  Pinot Noirs from various AVAs in Sonoma, Sonoma Coast, Santa Lucia Highlands, and the Sta Rita Hills (home to Sea Smoke–in fact some of our grapes are right next to Sea Smoke). We love great wine and so we stock The Vault with incredible wines which are handcrafted with grapes from particular vintages, vineyards and blocks and rows.  Our wine is NOT, repeat, NOT, mass produced swill which is simply an alternative for guests who don’t drink beer.  Our wine is seriously top drawer.  Take a free wine tour on Sundays at 2:00 pm with JP. and learn how many tons of grapes he purchases, what’s going to be released for the rest of 2018, and sample of a number of his wines for free.  Oh yes, we can’t forget the white wines!  We have a variety of top notch Chardonnays, a great white wine blend from Santa Barbara (the Foxen Canyon corridor).  We also have the 2017 Drum Canyon Cellars Sauvignon Blanc set to be released in June.  And don’t forget the 2017 Rose (vin gris)!  It’s our biggest seller next to Dad’s Blend (the big Napa Bordeaux style blend which is named in honor of JP’s dad.) https://www.westpalmbeer.com/our-wines/
  5. The Experience!  We recognize that you have a lot of options for your beer and restaurant dollars.  Our approach is to try to create a fun, memorable experience for you that you are not getting anywhere else.  Whether it’s the exclusivity of our great craft beer, the unique selection of fine wines, the brewery tours, engaging, fun staff members and employees who attend to you, or just sitting outside of the brewery with friends, we want to offer an experience.  You should enjoy your time at the brewery and want to come back.  Our goal is to make 332 Evernia Street a “must visit” destination in Palm Beach County.  That’s why we have release parties, and tap parties for new beers. We give away a lot of merchandise like custom t shirts to those who are first to support our new beers.  We are pet friendly and family friendly.  Monday is Trvia Night with a chance to win gift cards.  Please check out our events page on Facebook.   @wpbrewery   On Sundays, we are offering live music, including smooth jazz during the summer, and a great singer songwriter acoustic show this Sunday, May 20th, at 2:00 pm featuring local singer songwriters Monty Warren and David Gruitza.  https://www.pr.com/press-release/753723
